Video of the week: The Mercedes-AMG GT powertrain

The new Mercedes-AMG GT combines a unique design idiom and luxurious interior with impressive performance: AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, 462 hp, goes from zero to 100 km/h in 4 seconds (Mercedes-AMG GT S: 510 hp, from zero to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds).

AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with dry sump lubrication, AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-gear dual clutch transmission, limited slip differential and AMG sports suspension with aluminum double wishbone suspension. These facts make the Mercedes-AMG GT the ultimate sports car.
With its front mounted mid-engine and transaxle AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission, the Mercedes-AMG GT has an optimal weight distribution between the front and rear axles of 47% to 53%. Combined with a low center of gravity, it guarantees agile handling and high cornering speeds.
